After using all the cherries they wanted on their cherry tree, our neighbors told us to pick as many cherries as we wanted. I wasn't sure what to do with sour cherries other than cherry pie but I thought I would try and make jam. Last year, I had tried Chokecherry Jelly for the first time and thought it would be similar to that. Yesterday I made two batches of jam and it is SO good! There is a bit of sugar in the jam (more sugar than cherries-actually) but it still has a good bite to it. So, don't let the cherries go to the birds! Make jam today! ;) 
And now I must go and have some toast with jam on it! Have a wonderful day!
